Min Min is the Newest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter

Min Min from Arms will be making her way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as the newest DLC fighter. She’ll be released on June 29 for $5.99, or as part of the Fighter Pass Vol. 2.

She was revealed in a video presentation by series creator Masahiro Sakurai, where he detailed how she plays. Due to the nature of her character, Min Min is more of a ranged fighter who doesn’t do that well in close combat or in the air. The best area for her to be is on the ground. Doing standard A-button attacks with her attacks with her left arm, while using the B-button attacks with her right arm.

Min Min’s Down-B special attack allows her two swap the item that is attached to her left arm. She can switch between three different items; a ring-like weapon called Ramram that’s quick, but not that strong; a large ball called Megawatt that’s slow but powerful; and a more neutral item called Dragon that falls in between Ramram and Megawatt. Her Final Smash has her deliver a flurry of punches alongside the cast from Arms.

The stage that she comes with is Spring Stadium. It’s a straightforward stage with very few gimmicks. At each end of the stage and in the middle are platforms that players can use to jump high up in the air. If an enemy collides with you while you’re jumping like this, you can do some damage to them. Drones will also bring items into the stadium as well instead of them randomly popping up on the stage. She will also come with 18 new music tracks.

There are also new Mii Fighter costumes being released alongside Min Min. Players will be able to purchase costumes for Ninjara (Arms), Heihachi (Tekken), Marie and Callie (Splatoon), and Vault Boy (Fallout). Each of these costumes will cost $0.75 and be sold separately.

Min Min is the first fighter from Fighter Pass Vol. 2 to be announced. Five more characters will be added to the game, although who they are has yet to be revealed. The remaining characters will be released by December 2021.
