Master Chief Joins Fortnite to Finish the Fight
The God of War arrived in Fortnite last week, and now another gaming legend has been added to the massively popular battle royale game. A trailer featuring the Halo series’ Master Chief played during The Game Awards, and shortly thereafter, he was added to the Fortnite Item Shop.
Players on all platforms can now purchase the Master Chief Bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks. It includes the Master Chief outfit, Battle Legend back bling, Gravity Hammer harvesting tool, UNSC Pelican glider, and Lil’ Warthog emote. All of the items in the bundle, excluding the back bling, can also be purchased separately.
In addition, the official Fornite website notes that any Xbox Series X|S owners who use Master Chief in a Fortnite match will unlock the Matte Black style for the outfit. This is similar to the Armored Kratos style that was awarded to players who completed a match with Kratos on a PS5 console.
The Fortnite Item Shop indicates that the Master Chief items will be available until the shop refreshes its offerings at 4pm PST on December 11. Kratos was purchasable for nearly a week, however, so gamers looking to add John-117 to their collection will probably have some additional time to do so as well.
