Xbox recently announced which titles Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect this month, and there are some great selections in store. Also, if you fired up your Xbox over the holiday season, chances are you noticed the entire season of Life is Strange was discreetly added, along with its prequel, Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Here is the full list of new games coming to you this month.
December 20: Life is Strange Complete Season (Episodes 1-5)
Return to Arcadia Bay, or experience it for the first time this month. Play as Max Caufield, a budding photographer, who discovers that she can rewind time and that many of her choices have consequences.
December 27: Life is Strange: Before the Storm (Episodes 1-3)
This prequel puts players in the shoes of Max’s best friend Chloe Price, several years before the events of the first game. The mechanic of rewinding time has been shelved in favor of a raw narrative that delves into the gritty aspects of loss, family, and friendship.
January 3: Life is Strange 2: Part 1
The sequel to Life is Strange was recently released and follows two brothers, Sean and Daniel, who find themselves on the run after an encounter with the police goes wrong.
January 3: Ark: Survival Evolved
Brace yourself for a futuristic island filled with dinosaurs. Players will craft, hunt, and survive against both the wildlife and hundreds of players to escapee the island.
January 3: Farming Simulator 17
Calling all the wanna-be farmers: this is your moment, minus actually getting your hands dirty, of course. Players will have access to hundreds of vehicles and different types of equipment to assist in the harvesting of crops and caring for livestock.
January 7: Absolver
Become a martial arts expert, while working your way across foreign lands and facing off against players on the same journey. Learn new combat skills and gather new weapons in the hopes of joining the rank of Absolvers.
January 10: Just Cause 3
Just Cause has never been short on explosions, vehicles, and pure chaos. Return as Rico Rodriguez in this third entry in the franchise, and fight to take down a Mediterranean island’s dictator.
January 10: Aftercharge
Aftercharge is described as being similar to a “cat and mouse” game, but set in space. With invisible robots. And no cats. Two teams of three players compete against one another. One is tasked with shattering six cylinders across the battlefield, while the other team has to stop it from happening.
There are already over 100 notable titles available for Xbox Game Pass, including new Xbox One exclusives like Forza Horizon 4.
The subscription fee is $9.99 each month, and $59.99 for six months. Learn more about Xbox Game Pass here.
