The first episode of Life is Strange 2 launches this Thursday, and its developer DONTNOD Entertainment has released an intense launch trailer ahead of the big day. In the two-minute trailer, we get flashes of different scenes- debris flying, cars overturned- along with characters’ voice overs adding to the dramatic build-up. In one such moment, we hear someone frantically explain, “the cops are talking to everybody at school.”
In Life is Strange 2, we play as a teenage boy named Sean who, after a mysterious accident that left a police officer dead, flees town with his little brother Daniel in tow. Life on the road is anything but easy, though, and Sean will be making the tough choices that impact both him and his brother- choices that will force players to confront how far they “will run to secure your future.”
While these difficult moments are at the core of the game, we also see quick lighthearted moments, with Sean and Daniel laughing and jumping on the bed. Toward the end of the trailer, we hear a character really drive home the close bond between the two brothers share, saying “What you and your brother have is the most important thing.”
The first episode of Life is Strange 2 will launch on Thursday, September 27th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There will be five episodes in total. Check out the full launch trailer below.
