Here are the New Titles Coming to Nintendo 3DS

Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct dropped an insane amount of news regarding Nintendo’s upcoming Switch titles in addition to details on their online service dropping September 18. However, amongst all of these announcements, Nintendo Representative Shinya Takahashi shared a few titles coming to the Nintendo 3DS. Upon the arrival of the Nintendo Switch, many fans believed that it may have been then end of the line for the Nintendo 3DS. However, Nintendo’s continued support of the platform shows that it is here to stay. This Direct further emphasized that fact as the company showed some exciting new titles coming to the platform.

The first title the company announced for the 3DS was Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn. This updated release of the popular 2010 Wii title will be coming to the platform in 2019. This version comes to the 3DS will all of the stages seen in the Wii version. Moreover, fans can expect new abilities and a new game mode titled Devilish Mode.

Fans can expect another updated version of a Nintendo classic with the upcoming release of Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey. This refreshed version of the 2009 DS title allows gamers to re-explore this highly lauded RPG story with an entirely new side story. Slated for a January 11 release next year, this title places the player in Bowers Jr.’s shoes as he navigates this world.

While the announcement of Luigi’s Mansion 3 stole the show, Nintendo provided some more details on the re-release of the original Luigi’s Mansion. Nintendo highlighted a new co-op mode and Amiibo support coming to the title. Releasing October 12, this title is sure to hold over fans waiting for the release of the new installation in the franchise.

Nintendo finished off their 3DS presentation by providing details on free DLC coming to Yokai Watch Blasters. Coming September 27, this new update will provide new bonuses, missions, areas, and Yokai.
