Fortnite V6.10: New Vehicle and Competitive Modes

As Fortnite’s Season 6 progresses, we are seeing more updates that keep the gameplay fresh and new. Now with the most recent update, Patch V6.10, players logging into the Battle Royale game can expect new vehicles, game modes, and enhanced performance.

The most exciting part of this update is the new vehicle that Epic Games has been teasing over the past week. With the new patch, Fortnite fans can use the Quadcrasher. The game first introduced vehicles with the Shopping Cart, followed by a later release of the Golf Cart. These vehicles help players traverse the expansive map, but leaving them defenseless in combat situations. The new Quadcrasher, however, gives players a leg up when it comes to combat.

The new vehicle is equipped with a plow that allows players to drive straight through structures without taking any damage. Moreover, the Quadcrasher has the ability to boost via a combustible jet, giving players a way to quickly escape the storm. While the full potential of the Quadcrasher is unknown, it is sure to spice up the Battle Royale.

A common critique of Fortnite is its lack of in-game competitive and ranked modes. However, Patch V6.10 resolves this with the new Events system. There will now be a slew of scheduled tournaments in which all players can participate. During these scheduled tournament times, players can earn points by ranking high in matches and accruing kills. Furthermore, matches will become more challenging as players progress in the event. Pairings are based on points, so those participating will be equally matched. The new competitive events not only give the victors bragging rights, but in game prizes. An increased competitive edge and potential prizes are sure to make the events quite exciting.

On the performance side of the game, players can expect some changes. Improvements have been made to the game’s physics for cosmetic items. Furthermore, this patch fixed a bug that prevented trap placement in certain situations.

We are sure to see more changes to the Battle Royale throughout Season 6. Stay tuned to LoadingXP for more coverage.
