Fortnite V6.02 Update: New Game Mode, Skins, and Weapons

At the end of September, Fortnite’s publisher, Epic Games, launched their season 6 update. With this update, players saw changes to the game’s map, inventory, and cosmetics centered around the Halloween season. Now, Epic has released a new patch for the season. With this patch, Epic has dropped new weapons, cosmetics, and a whole new game mode.

Players can now hop into a new, limited-time Battle Royale mode with Disco Domination. In this mode, dance floors have spawned all over the map. In order to claim their Victory Royale, players must capture these spaces and dance on them to fill their meter. The player that fills their meter the fastest will claim the victory. This new take on the Capture the Flag game mode is sure to have players dancing all over the map.

Alongside the new game mode, players can expect to see weapons, new and old, coming to the Battle Royal mode. The Quad Rocket Launcher has made its premier. Unlike the current RPG, the Quad Rocket Launcher has four rounds, allowing for quick structural or enemy damage. Players will also be able to use the Port-a-Fortress, making its return with the new update.

This new update also fixes some bugs and performance issues seen across various platforms. Some of these bugs include changes to the in-game pet “Bonsey,” which caused him to bark too much. Additionally, Epic has fixed some issues seen in the moving Safe Zone. In terms of performance, this update has fixed performance issues on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Thus, new players can expect a more seamless Battle Royale experience.

Update V6.02  was also reined in by the return of some very rare cosmetics. Only making its appearance last Halloween, the Skull Trooper has now returned, making one of the rarest Fortnite Skins readily available. Additionally, the outfit comes with a female version of the skin, a new glider, and pick axe.

As we get closer to Halloween, we are sure to see more exciting seasonal changes coming to the Battle Royale title. Stay Tuned to LoadingXP for more news.
