E3 2021: Riders Republic Releasing In September

Extreme sports fans strap in! Riders Republic has just been announced to be released on September 2 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Amazon Luna, and Stadia.

First announced during last year’s Ubisoft Forward event, the game is an MMO-like where players can participate in a number of different activities for different extreme sports. Today’s event gave us a deep dive into the game, revealing the game’s social hub called the Riders Ridge. Here is where you can keep up with any news that’s released, learn how to pull off different tricks, check in on your stats, share any creations you’ve made, and jump into a variety of different events with other players.

Two of the standout events are Trick Battle and Mass Races. Trick Battle sees two teams of six compete to have the highest score by performing tricks and controlling areas of the arena. Mass Races are multi-sport events with more than 20 players on last-generation consoles, and more than 50 players on new-generation consoles.

A closed beta has been announced for Riders Republic that you can register for by going to the game’s website. We also got confirmation that there will be cross-play and cross-save support for the game, making it easy for people to play together and on whatever platform they want.

Riders Republic is a game that I’ve been eagerly looking forward to ever since its announcement last year, so I’m definitely planning to jump into it when it releases in a few months. My only hope is that Ubisoft supports this game well enough for it to garner the community that it needs to truly thrive.

In addition to this new look at Riders Republic, Ubisoft revealed that we’ll be playing as past villains from the Far Cry franchise in the season pass for Far Cry 6, and gave us our first look at Rainbow Six Extraction gameplay. We also got the announcement of Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
