During the Xbox E3 2021 showcase, Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive’s A Plague Tale: Requiem was officially revealed. The game is a direct sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, which released in 2019.
Amicia and Hugo are back, and it sounds like players are in for another emotional journey with the sibling duo, one that involves a new quest in a “brutal, uncaring world.” The first game, A Plague Tale: Innocence, is one of the more underrated games from the last generation that’s absolutely worth playing. Stealth drives the bulk of the gameplay, and combat items are unique to Amicia and fit her character well as weapons evolve over the course of the game. That, coupled with the rich, historical setting of 14th century France and a story filled with resilience, makes A Plague Tale: Innocence memorable in a way that few games in the past few years have been able to accomplish.
A Plague Tale: Requiem will release in 2022 for Xbox Series X|S and will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. A Plague Tale: Innocence is currently available on the subscription service and made our list of games that make Game Pass worth having.
