Considering how massive the download size is for Red Dead Redemption 2, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that a day one patch has just been announced for the game. Labeled a “Launch Day Title Update” from Rockstar Games, the patch will be addressing many “last minute tweaks, bugs, and fixes.” It isn’t clear, however, how large the patch install will be.
To make sure players’ gameplay experience with Red Dead Redemption 2 is seamless, it’s highly recommended the update is downloaded before diving right into the game. For those who want the update to download automatically, make sure that your auto updates are enabled for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can find instructions for that here (PS4) and here (Xbox One).
Players who have already pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 from the Xbox or PlayStation Store can download and pre-install the game right now, which will ensure that you’re ready to go as soon as it releases on midnight Friday.
There are only a few more days to go before Red Dead Redemption 2 launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26.
