Assassin’s Creed Origins 4K Launch Trailer is Here

Today Ubisoft released the launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins in 4K, and it’s beautiful. In just the first couple shots alone, it’s clear the world of ancient Egypt is vibrant with life and rich in color (if you do nothing else today, please watch the sunlight reflecting off the Great Pyramids).

“What you have started in Egypt will change the course of history.”

We’re just a few days away from the launch of Assassin’s Creed Origins on Friday, and anticipation for the game is beginning to reach its peak. The trailer is just a little under two and a half minutes, and in that short period of time, we get a glimpse of our new eagle companion, Senu, and are also treated to some deadly slow-motion action sequences.

There’s a lot riding on Assassin’s Creed OriginsNot only is the game set in one of the most famous empires in history, but it’s also taking us back to the origins of the Brotherhood and how it became intertwined with powerful figures like Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIII. On Friday, fans are not only hoping Origins does this time period justice, but that this game takes the Assassin’s Creed series in a new and exciting direction.

In the launch trailer, Bayek, the new protagonist of Assassin’s Creed makes it clear that the stakes are high in ancient Egypt. Forced to leave his home region, Bayek’s journey in Origins will have him crossing paths with memorable characters as he ultimately works to create the Brotherhood of Assassins. Near the end of the trailer, he can be heard saying, “No matter how small, our Brotherhood is the only hope.”
