Abandoned Game Trailer App Has Been Delayed to August
This past April saw the announcement of one of the most perplexing games of the year so far. The official PlayStation Blog and YouTube channel announced a new first-person horror game called Abandoned developed by indie studio BLUE BOX Game Studios. Ironically, what made this game stand out is because of how ordinary it seems. It seemed odd how PlayStation was promoting this indie game early in its development. This caused many online to believe Abandoned was secretly a new Silent Hill installment from acclaimed auteur Hideo Kojima. There are whole reddit threads which further explain this conspiracy which you can check out here. However, BLUE BOX Game Studios has denied connections to with Kojima or Silent Hill.
In an effort to explain what Abandoned actually is, the studio planned on releasing an app to reveal the trailer. While there was never a specific release date, rumors suggested that the app would launch early last week. Game director Hasan Kahraman revealed that the app needed a few more days before its official release. As fans awaited the arrival a video message from Kahraman announced the app is delayed until August 2021. Kahraman explained, “I’ve decided to delay the app until August, that is when the first trailer will also released. We just wanted to give you a solid first impression of the game.” While the delay is disappointing for those who were interested in Abandoned, it is good to hear that there will also be a trailer released alongside the app in August.
